Nana Sledzieski has a deep interest in nurturing peace in children. She is credentialed by the American Montessori Society (AMS) in early childhood education, and founded an independent preschool and kindergarten in Connecticut before moving to North Carolina. Her role as Head of School afforded the opportunity for statewide collaboration with other Heads of School from AMS and the Association Montessori International/USA.

Nana has professional experience as a managing editor at a major trade/scientific/education publisher (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.) and at a small book packager outside of New York City (Seth Godin Productions). She has also maintained an editorial office, which is now registered as The Copper Fern Studio, LLC in Charlotte. She holds a Master’s degree of Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies, a graduate certificate in Cognitive Science, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
